GODS OF FIRE's Music Featured In Upcoming Horror Film

New York City metal band GODS OF FIRE have music featured in the upcoming horror film "The Roost", directed by Ti West and executive-produced by Larry Fessenden under the Scareflix banner. GODS OF FIRE are also featured prominently in the trailer, which can be viewed online at www.theroostmovie.com.

The film, about a group of youths experiencing terror from the sky one dark night when their car breaks down during a rural road trip, has already received great reviews from outlets such as Fangoria, Ain't-It-Cool News, and Bloody Disgusting.

Showtime has snapped up all North American rights to the film in a mid-six-figure deal following the picture's L.A. Film Festival screening.

American Cinematheque's distribribution arm, Vitagraph Films, will handle the theatrical release in early fall. Showtime will then distribute "The Roost" on home video and TV/cable, likely taking advantage of Halloween tie-ins.

Vitagraph's prior genre releases include the original Japanese version of "The Grudge" and Takashi Miike's "Audition". The company also had recent box-office success with the Bruce Campbell film "Bubba Ho-Tep".

GODS OF FIRE are currently playing shows to support their debut album, "Wrath of the Gods", which was produced by legendary producer Wharton Tiers (PRONG, HELMET, WHITE ZOMBIE). Writing has already begun for the next album which should be released early to mid 2006.
